How do teachers identify if a behavior can be managed by them in the classroom or is serious enough to warrant an office referral? At El Dorado, we believe teachers can handle minor classroom incidents themselves by relating to and redirecting students, and reaching out to parents and other staff members for support when needed. Students generally respond best when teachers can de-escalate a situation and redirect their behavior. This poster is provided to all staff to use as a resource in case they have questions or need help with identifying the next steps to take.
