Since 1920s the Lorenzo and Maxima "Imang" Sarinas lived in the parcel of land in Medicion 2-E, Imus, Cavite. The land was from the family of Lorenzo while Maxima Aquipil was originally from Kawit. Their house was a traditional bahay na bato of the middle class, complete with bamboo floors, wood posts, and stone walls on the ground, capis windows and ventanillas.
1921. A portion of the parcel of land was donated by Lorenzo and Maxima to the Imus Municipality for the purpose of posong bayan. This is currently the Barangay Hall where a remnant deep-well pipe from the 80's still stands.
1961. The single titled lot was divided to the four sons of Lorenzo and Maxima: Carlos (eldest), Benjamin, Virgilio, and Nicanor (youngest and the inheritor of the ancestral house). The house and portion of land was passed down to the youngest of the siblings, Nicanor, who was married to Anastacia. Maxima, who then lived in the ancestral house, eventually moved to a small hut behind the posong bayan on the property of Carlos.
Late 1960s. Due to financial troubles, Anastacia mortgaged Nicanor's portion of the land to Mr. Velasco of Medicion 1st. Nicanor and Anastacia was not able to pay the mortgage and the land was in danger of being foreclosed. Maxima was so furious and asked Virgilio, her wealthier son, to buy a portion of the land of Nicanor in order to payoff the mortgage.
1972. Nicanor asks Virgillo to choose a rear portion of the land, as the ancestral house, then, was situated on the front portion of the land. Virgillo insisted on the front portion and in January 26, than to loose the whole land, Nicanor signed an agreement to sell 200 square meters to Virgillo for the price of 6,000 pesos. The family of Nicanor and Anastacia was given one year to vacate the property. During the move, only half of the second floor was salvaged and carried over thru bayanihan to its current location. The rest of the ground, floor and walls cannot be carried. Out of spite, Nicanor asks his family to pound the tiles so none of it could be reused.
Mid 1980s. Nicanor and Anastacia opened a sari-sari store on the property of Carlos. The store was eventually used as Nicanor's watch repair shop.
2003. The watch repair was demolished when the son of Carlos, the real owner of the lot, decided to build an apartment and needed a vehicular access.
2020. A renovation to extend the life of the house was undertaken by the inheritors of the Nicanor and Anastacia's ancestral house, the six sisters.
