Thomas Jefferson Middle School (TJMS) Music Boosters are the family, friends, and community of TJMS music students working together to support their music education and the dedicated educators providing it.
We recognize that a strong music program:
Develops creativity, emotional regulation, and resilience
Improves language, reasoning, and coordination
Builds self-confidence
Cultivates community and cultural awareness
Teaches teamwork and self-awareness
Music Boosters provide funds for both curricular and co-curricular needs that exceed District budgets, like:
honors program attendance
field trips
instruments and equipment
scholarships
specialized instruction stipends
and other enrichment opportunities.
We also volunteer time and talent as needed by the TJ Music Department to provide an exceptional experience for music students.
Port Washington, home of TJMS, is recognized nationally as a Top Community for Musical Education by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM).
