I am Alex Wilkinson and this is my thirteenth year as a humanities teacher at Cesar Chavez Middle School. I have primarily taught 8th but have had some 6th and 7th sprinkled in. I intend to get my Masters in Education next year. Outside of school. I am a mom and wife, and I enjoy cooking, hiking, and playing with my daughter.

Ben Ahlvik-Garrison
I am Ben Ahlvik-Garrison, an ELA teacher at EA HALL middle school. I am a third year teacher with a passion for language and culture. I love teaching 6th graders because most of the students are always fresh and eager to learn! I hope to foster a love of learning in all my students by working together to create a wholesome, rigorous, and empowering learning community.

Matthew McGinty
After four rewarding years supporting teachers as a mentor with the New Teacher Project, Matt is excited to return to Lakeview Middle for his 17th year teaching Language Arts and Social Studies. He deeply values building strong connections with both students and colleagues, finding joy in our collective work, and looks forward to collaborating as a shared community this school year. Outside the classroom, Matt cherishes time with his family, as well as long leisurely beach walks accompanied by his dog, Fellini, and enjoys reading, music, and cheering on his favorite Bay Area sports teams.

I am thrilled to be supporting students and staff as the humanities department chair at Rolling Hills, where I have taught 6th-grade Language Arts and Social Studies for 17 years. This year, I’m excited to teach 7th-grade Humanities and continue to see my students' academic growth. I’m proud to say that I was also a PVUSD student myself, and education has always been my passion. Outside of school, I have two daughters with whom I enjoy going to the beach, hiking, and camping. I also enjoy thrifting and spending time with my two cats.

Ignacio Araujo
Ignacio Araujo has been a secondary school educator since 2007. He has taught grades 6-12 in both the urban and suburban setting. Since 2016, Ignacio has been teaching 8th grade social studies at Aptos Junior High School, where he is the department chair. Before that he taught at Willy Brown Middle School in San Francisco, after a brief time as a Teacher on Special Assignment. He has also taught in Philadelphia and Los Angeles as well.

Prior to my current position teaching 6th and 7th grade ELA and Social Studies at CCMS, I taught in alternative education and served two middle schools as a technology integration coach. When I'm not teaching I enjoy reading, sewing, walks to Seacliff beach with my pup, and going to Giants games with my husband and ten year old son.

Lynette has worked in education for 20 years. Prior to working as a Curriculum and Instruction Coach, she was a Middle School ELA and H/SS teacher and taught primarily in 6th grade. She has a passion for working with middle school students and their teachers to inspire learning, improve data driven instruction, and to promote and support positive behavior and emotional intelligence in all schools. She graduated with honors from CSULB, and obtained a multiple subject teaching credential. She has a master's degree in education from SJSU and holds an administrative credential. Lynette's master research paper focused on the positive and negative effects of frequent implementation and removal of academic programs in middle schools across California. Her thesis was selected from among her colleagues and awarded a Certificate of Outstanding Research. She was born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA. and is an alumni of PVUSD K-12 grade. She has been married for 18 years and is a mother to 3 elementary aged boys. She loves trees, gardens, cooking, and spending time with her family outdoors, at the beach, riding bikes, hiking and traveling.
