Dependent Coverage Updates
Effective July 1, 2026, all eligible dependents will be covered until the end of the month of their 26th birthday. Members will no longer have to provide full-time student status for eligible dependents.
Vision Plan Updates
Eligible dependents now have an annual maxium benefit of $150 with an annual maxium benefit of $300.

New benefits for our members for the 2025-2026 school years.
1 - Legal Benefit - This Benefit will be available February 2025 - January 31, 2027
The plan covers all active and retiree members, their spouses or domestic partners who are living with the plan participant, and unmarried and/or dependent children under the age of 19 (and under the age of 25 if the child is wholly dependent upon the plan participant for support and maintenance or is enrolled as a full-time student).

There have been some changes to the wording in our Plan Benefits Document regarding dental services and preauthorizations.
PLEASE READ.
Be in the Know. Protect yourself and control your out of pocket dental expenses.
Pre-authorizations are required for a number of specific dental treatment. The purpose of a pre-authorization is to ensure that the procedure is a necessary procedure for you and it is in your best interest as it informs you of any out of pocket expenses you may be responsible for BEFORE treatment begins. PLEASE remind your dentist that pre-authorization is required for the category of services indicated below. Please note, you have the option to request a pre-authorization for any dental services.

Out-Of Network Dental Claims:
Please be advised that effective immediately, all dental benefit payments made on a claim for services rendered by an out-of-network dentist will be mailed and paid directly to you, the member. This includes payments for all services by general dentists, specialized dentists, orthodontists, etc.

ORTHODONTIC REIMBURSEMENT UPDATE
Special new information regarding Orthodontic reimbursements:
Effective July 1, 2022
Orthodontia reimbursement will be paid based upon the schedule below:
$500 for placement to the orthodontist
$250 payment per month for 12 months to the orthodontist
In total, $3500 will be paid for these services
If the orthodontist has completed their services and the member has not receive the full $3500 benefit:
The member must include all EOB's and payment information showing the contracted amount, payments made, and/or balance due. After the appeal is reviewed and approved by the Trustees, a payment will be sent directly to the member for the remaining amount.
If the member does not submit an appeal, your provider will continue to receive their $250 each month for their services (until the balance due is paid in full or up to the maximum benefit of 3500)
