Surfers don't need the ocean to surf because rivers and lakes are getting more popular for surfers to practice. In recent years, surfing has skyrocketed in status, even getting approved for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. The Olympics didn't want to use an artificial wave machine, but use actual waves. The problem is that there isn't very many surf days throughout the year, so the Olympics decided to select 16 different days for the 2 day tournament.

The NBA playoffs have finally started after March Madness and the games have been heated. Each team battles in a play in game and then all of the other games are played in a first to 4, 7 game series where the team with the most wins after 7 games goes to the next round the top ranked teams that came into the tournament were the Boston Celtics, the Cleveland Cavaliers,and the Oklahoma City Thunder. And of course the Lakers were also an anticipated team being lead by Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, and LeBron James. The winner of this tournament will receive the Larry O'Brian Championship trophy and be crowned the winner of the NBA tournament for the 2024-2025 season.
Round 1:
Some of the biggest games from the first round of the NBA tournament included the Minnesota Timberwolves ' first-round win over LeBron and the Lakers in a 96- 103, 11-point victory. The GOAT LeBron scored 127 points in the five-game series, which is a 25.5 points per game average, and he averaged the same throughout the season. Another notable game was the Golden State Warriors' dominant win over the Houston Rockets with a score of 103 to 89, in a 14-point victory to launch them into the second round of the playoffs. Steph Curry, the lead scorer for the Golden State Warrior, averaged 26 points per game in the 7 game series and is averaging 24.5 points per game this season.
Round 2:
During the round 2 conference semifinals of the NBA tournament some surprising upsets occured. The game series included Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves against the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks against the Boston Celtics, and the Oklahoma City Thunder led by star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander against the Denver Nuggets. Some competitive, and upset games from this round of the include the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-110 win over the Golden State Warriors to put them in the semifinals of the 2024-2025 NBA tournament. Another completely dominant series was the Indiana Pacers 114-105 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers to put them in the other semifinals bracket for the NBA tournament.
Round 3:
During the exciting third round of the NBA playoffs, the games were tough and well fought. The games included the Oklahoma Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves, who played on May 20th at 5:30 PM Eastern time. The other game series was started on May 21st at 5:00 PM Eastern time, and was between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks. The outcome of this series concluded in an Oklahoma Thunder 124-94 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves to put them in the NBA Finals as the number one seed in the Championship Game winning the semifinals series 4-1 in only five games with only one loss during the semifinal round and were a highly anticipated team early on in the season due to their MVP player in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Indiana Pacers also beat the New York Knicks 125-108 to win the series 4-2. The Championship Game is set to be played on June 5 at 5:30 PM eastern time.
