The Photo/Text images were made with Typorama by Ms. Deck on her IPad.
There are a ton of photo/text apps out there for this assignment. However, it does not have to be digital. Use the materials in your comfort zone and at your disposal.

In this artist statement, I will discuss my photo/text response project and explain how come I did what I ended up doing for this assignment. I especially want to demonstrate my understanding, so far, of Outcome 20.2 - develop an understanding of human relationships and what they encompass. I will also briefly discuss my interpretations of how we have/have not listened to Chief Seattle's advice from 150 years ago.
To begin, for this production of this test/image assignment, I first considered using a photo from this....Then, after listening to the video and listening to Chief Seattle's words, I remembered that we needed to quote him as part of the text portion of the assignment. So...I listened to the video, picked out my favorite 4 lines of the speech to quote and thought about the photos I had on my phone. Nothing was suitable, so I decided to think about it on the weekend and take a few new photos for the project. (Add details about the art production journey here)
Next, I realized that I needed to think about this final text/photo project that I created in terms of how it reflected my smarts about this outcome. 20.2 asks me to show how I am developing an understanding of human relationships and what they encompass and so I think my response projects connects in this unique way...that I will describe here...(adding many intelligent insights that are both entertaining and factual and kind and....)
Last, I will briefly discuss how we have listened to Chief Seattle's advice from 150 years ago. Then, I will discuss how we have not listened to his advice.
I will summarize all the wisdom I have gained in this process in the final paragraph before sending this artist statement and the Photo/Text to Ms. Deck's email: shelley.deck@pvsd.ca
