Interested in helping Mr. Wayne and Ms. Deck turn your trash into treasure? Keep reading!
Hello Friends,
At the start of the 2021-22 school year, Mr. Wayne and Ms. Deck started collecting dirty cans/drink containers from the school depositories. Ms. Deck then took them to Sarcan - in Ituna - to return them for extra-curricular arts education project/contest funds. In 2023, Mr. Wayne Addis decided to do all of this fundraising for arts education on his own. How amazing is that!? Thank you, Wayne Addis!
Mr. Wayne is doing an amazing job of picking dirty cans out of the garbage to put into recycling from the school blue recycle cans....but we still need student help! PLEASE make sure that you empty your drink cans and containers in the sink before putting them in our many blue recycle containers. This is a small ask, with a big reward.
Nobody likes leaky garbage bags, so please make sure you are emptying your drink can recyclables completely.
If you would like to be part of this recycling journey - and arts education student achievement and reward system - please contact Ms. Deck. We would very much like for other students, staff and parents to be part of our recycling fund process!
Parents, family and student supporters are also encouraged to drop their recyclables off at the Ituna Sarcan and let them know that the money from the trash can go towards our Kelliher arts education projects. This is part of the local Drop and Go initiative. Just tell them that you are dropping off recycling and that the money earned can go towards our artists and they will credit our account. WE APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT!
Can you help? WE LOVE RECYCLING!
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about how your recycling can help benefit our Arts Education Program supply budget.
Thank you!
Ms. Deck and Mr. Wayne

The cash awards for the 2021 Scary Story Writing Contest were 100% covered by the recycling efforts at Kelliher School. A big thank you to Mr. Wayne for helping us collect the cans that provided the $30, $40 and $50 rewards!
Ms. Deck is hosting Holiday Sign painting in the art room every school day noon hour in December for FREE. Participants just need to bring their own 14 x 7 x 1 inch wood for the small sign, 28 x 7 x 1 for the medium size sign and 72 x 7 x 1 for the large size.
Wood can be recycled or new...the choice is yours!
Mr. Wayne and Ms. Deck just submitted $84...plus...to the Kelliher School Office for recycling collected for Arts Education projects. Please give Mr. Wayne a high five for sorting our garbage cans/drink boxes this month! He is amazing! Thank you for your continued support, Mr. Wayne! We appreciate you!
