Membership
Membership in the PVPA Chapter of NHS open to all Juniors and Seniors of in good academic standing. All students wishing to apply may do so at the beginning of each year - look for posters or announcements about applications, or talk to Austin Clark, the librarian.Â
Requirements to join NHS are as follows:
GPA of 3.6 or higher
No suspensions or Code of Conduct violations for four semesters preceding application
Submission of an Application Portfolio Packet
Students with suspensions or outstanding Code of Conduct violations may appeal them in the Application Portfolio Packet. See Application Portfolio Packet for details.
Obligations of Membership
Once a member of NHS, students must maintain their membership by doing the following:
Maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher for the entire time you are a part of NHS and have no Incompletes.
Uphold all PVPA rules and Code of Conduct.
Attend NHS meetings, or notify the Adviser or President if you cannot make one.

A failure to uphold any of these obligations will result first in a written warning from the NHS Adviser, then in hearing and disciplinary action by the Faculty Council. Disciplinary action can range from the loss of the right to wear NHS colors at graduation to dismissal from the Chapter.
