meet with 2 peers and have them give you suggestions on what you need to improve upon.
Choose two responsible peers in class.
Sit on the carpet in front of my desk.
Have each peers fill out a Writing Conference Form
As you’re reading your rough draft out loud, your peers will fill out their forms.
Once you are done reading, hand your chromebook to your peers so they can highlight your piece and continue to fill out your forms.
The peers should use a blue font and a blue highlighter.
When finished, look at the Writing Conference Form Spreadsheet for their comments.

Look up correct spelling in Cambridge Dictionary.
Check punctuation, capitalization, and grammar.
Use proofreading symbols from proofreading chart in your assignment.

Sign up for an editing conference in the Editing Conference binder on Ms. Armstrong’s desk.
When Ms. Armstrong calls your name, make sure you bring with you your Language Arts binder and your draft book.
While you wait for your name to be called, work on any missing work you owe.
Once you are finished with your missing work, you may read a book.
Look at the I am Learning To… link to see what you need to improve on.
Make the corrections and move on to the publishing step.
