About Mrs. Voeller

Hello, my name is Mrs. Julie Voeller, and I am excited to be your child’s teacher!  This is my twelth exciting year teaching!   I aim to create a classroom that is an enlightening and welcoming environment for every learning style.   I believe teaching social and emotional learning is just as important as higher order thinking.

I began my career as a special education teacher for students in the third through sixth grade.   Shortly after that, I began to further my educational path earning a Gifted Education endorsement and continuing to support the mental health of children. Gifted education within the primary years has always been where my heart is at school. I spent three years in first grade and four years in third grade.  The past five years I have worked closely with gifted students and their families in a cluster classroom setting.

I grew up in Phoenix for most of my life, graduating high school in the Paradise Valley Unified School District.  I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in General Education and Special Education. I began my work with children and families  leading social groups and working as a mentor within intervention programs. Working with these special families, I was inspired to further my path in education.  I love working with children, and I have always been fascinated with how each person's mind works differently.   It is my passion to inspire students, and find a path to each student's unique way of learning.

My students, dance, music, traveling, reading, and my family are my inspirations in life.  When I am not creating in the classroom, I am usually at a studio with my two wonderful daughters, or enjoying the city.  I have two wonderful daughters, a fantastic husband, a black lab, and a wild cat.  Both my daughters are gifted learners, and one even went through our wonderful gifted program here in PVUSD.  I love to be able to see both sides of our gifted children as a mother and an educator. I look forward to learning with your children and watching their minds grow!
