Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation require a four week notice.

  1. Verbally ask your instructor if they will write you a letter. Use "please" and "thank you."

  2. Have the following ready:

    1. Links to your resume, cover letter, community service hours log. All docs must be shared with the teacher as an editor.

    2. Link to the description of: scholarship, degree program, internship, or job.

    3. Your current GPA

    4. Time to answer 6 short essay questions about yourself

    5. Knowledge about how the letter is to be submitted (you will not be given a copy of the letter).

      1. Addressed stamped envelope if a hard copy is to be mailed.

      2. E mail address if letter is sent electronically

      3. Waive your rights to view feedback & letters.

    6. Submission due date.
