Artist Spotlight #14 - Ornament Decoration for Grandparents Day (11/24/25)

For PVI's annual Grandparents Day celebration, many of our Art Honor Society students were commissioned to decorate personalized ornaments for our Grandparents and their families! These ornaments were used to decorate our PVI Christmas tree, now on display in the Dining Commons!
Artist Spotlight #13 - Back to Nature: National Kids Art Competition (11/18/25)

Congratulations to McKenzie Gaskill '27, who won the Masterpiece Award for her piece shown. She is one of three winners partaking in the competition part of the division "Masterful Creators" in the 15-18 year old category. Artist Spotlight #12 - XC Creative Art Contest (11/6/25)

Congratulations to Nikita Piper '27, who received 2 finalist nominations as a part of the 2025 XC Creative Art Contest. With over 4,200 submissions across 22 US states and 7 countries, Nikita's pieces Solana and A Journey Through the Stars are a part of a top 10% of pieces that are advancing to the final round of evaluation. Congratulations to these student artists whose works were displayed at our annual PVI Open House for prospective Panthers to see! The Open House was a major success with many parents coming in to learn more about our amazing Fine Arts Department from Black and Gold Ambassador representatives Daniela Bruno '26 and Katie Le '26! Malena Pereira Sivulka '27's banner for PVI's Fife and Drum Corps was also on full display for PVI's Music Department.

Congratulations to Malena Pereira Sivulka '27 whose artwork was featured as a new banner for PVI's Fife and Drum Corps performance at St. John Neumann's Fall Festival! Traveling to Yorktown, the group highlighted Malena's banner with pride as they performed in a tribute celebrating America's 1781 Revolutionary War Victory. See PVI's post about the event here.

Congratulations to Katie Le '26 for being featured on PVI's monthly Crossroads magazine for October. Written by PVI's Writer's Block Club, Crossroads featured three of Katie's digital works highlighted in the 2024-2025 Art Show: Two Worlds, Childhood, and Dragonfruit. For the Class of 2026's Senior Day, Daniela Bruno '26 and Katie Le '26 were commissioned to paint "2026" on PVI's sea container facing the endzone of PVI's renowned Luke McGuire Stadium. The activity was a huge success among all senior students who signed their names on the container!

Congrats to many of our PVI student artists for being featured in PVI's Art and Literary Magazine: For Art's Sake! These pieces were submitted along with other PVI works in this magazine into REALM, an annual national literary and art magazine competition sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)!

Congratulations to Francesca Leiva '26, who completed a three-hour drawing class at the Accademia de Giglio in Florence, Italy, while on a visit! During this class, Francesca studied and illustrated Greek statues while also visiting other famous museums such as the Uffizi.

Congratulations to Daniela Bruno '26, who was accepted into and completed the prestigious Pratt Institute's Pre-College Art Program in Brooklyn, New York! Over the course of a month, Daniela honed her skills in traditional illustration and graphic design while immersing herself in the vibrant art, culture, and community of New York City—building both her talent and lasting friendships along the way!
Artist Spotlight #2 - NYU Precollege Summer Art Intensive (7/5/25-8/4/25)
Madeleine Lee '28
Congratulations to Madeleine Lee '28 for completing the prestigious NYU Precollege Summer Art Intensive Program this summer! With an acceptance rate of only 13%, Madeleine took a drawing/painting, sculpture, and ceramics class to create art pieces while also visiting the Whitney, Guggenheim, and the MET Art Museums. Her two best completed art pieces in the program were chosen to be displayed at the final art gallery!

For PVI's annual Day of Giving, Katie Le '26 and Malena Pereira Sivulka '27 were commissioned to paint PVI's Day of Giving logo on the rock facing PVI's drop-off entrance. The Day of Giving rock, as well as the Day of Giving itself, was a major success in helping PVI for future classes!
