POST OFFICER TRAINING

Post Officer Training prepares current and future American Legion leaders for the real-world responsibilities of serving as a Commander, Adjutant, or Finance Officer.

This training goes beyond job descriptions to help you understand the responsibilities of the office, avoid common pitfalls, and gain the knowledge needed to lead your Post.

Each course is taught in plain language with practical examples you can take back and use immediately. 

Training includes:

   • Commander – Leadership, governance, decision-making, and building a stronger Post.

   • Adjutant – Membership, records, reporting, and keeping your Post organized through the M.A.P. Framework.

   • Finance Officer – Financial management, compliance, reporting, and protecting your Post's financial future.

After attending this training, you will:

• Have the ability to lead with greater confidence and make informed decisions.
