EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS

At Purdue Global we value a diverse and inclusive community. As envisioned in our strategic planning, the Purdue Global Office of Organizational Culture and Inclusive Excellence (OCIE) is excited to promote opportunities for connection, communication, and support for our staff and faculty through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

ERGs are voluntary groups formed by employees to create safe and supportive spaces for staff and faculty who share common experiences, identities, and/or commonalities, which may include gender, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, ability, or social/economic causes.

Open to all interested employees -- even those who may not share commonalities, but desire to be allies -- ERGs promote diversity, equity, and inclusiveness by:

Military Community and Allies at Purdue Global

The Military Community and Allies at Purdue Global ERG aims to fill a void by creating opportunity, representation, and allyship, as well as provide a sense of belonging to help promote equitable professional development for military-affiliated people and allies at PG.  In addition, this ERG will seek to provide an inclusive environment that achieves increased employee engagement and a sense of belonging.

Global Indigenous Community

The Global Indigenous Community ERG is a space where indigenous employees and allies are welcomed, supported, and celebrated. The community will be an inviting place where professional growth is nurtured and encouraged. Additionally, the group will work together to raise awareness of Global Indigenous history, culture, and unique traditions, as well as the issues and policies currently affecting the population, with the aim of guiding Purdue Global to fully including, understanding, and celebrating its Indigenous community.

Black Employee Network @ Purdue Global

The Black Employee Network (BEN) is an employee resource group of faculty and staff with a mission to cultivate Black staff at PG. Members of BEN create community for one another through participation in events, discussions, and celebrations (i.e., Black History Month and Juneteenth) centered around the diverse topics that most impact the Black community.

Healthy Mindspace Initiative (HMI)

Healthy Mindspace Initiative (HMI) aims to develop a support and coping system to promote emotional well-being. The hope is to form a sense of inclusion and belonging for those who would like strategies for mental health awareness and desire a safe space.

Pride@Purdue Global

The Pride@Purdue Global ERG is a space where LGBTQIA2+ employees are not only safe and supported but also celebrated and nurtured in our professional growth. Additionally, it provides a forum for LGBTQIA2+ staff to raise awareness of issues and policies that affect us and to guide Purdue Global in fully including— and celebrating — its LGBTQIA2+ community.

Women@Purdue Global

The purpose of this ERG is to empower and support women within PG by addressing their unique challenges and leveraging their strengths, ultimately fostering a more inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace. Women@PG aims to enhance professional development, promote gender equity and influence organizational culture to better reflect the needs and aspirations of women at PG.
