PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This is a 4-year college degree program that is an excellent preparation for a career in Mathematics teaching in high school and for advancement in any field in which English communication and teaching skills are important

Objectives of the Program

The bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics aims to provide training and practice that will enable students to:

Demonstrate understanding of the basic and advance level of literacy, communication, critical thinking and other skills relevant to higher learning.
Apply a wide range of teaching process skills that include curriculum development, lesson planning, material development, educational assessment and teaching approach
Practice direct experience from the field through classroom observations, teaching assistance and practice teaching, and;
Utilized the acquired professional and ethical practices in the field of teaching in accordance with National Competency Based Teaching Standard.
