This is a scholarship to honor the memory of Carlee Shea Whitis. Carlee graduated from this life to heaven on July 16, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident. Carlee loved music and was an accomplished vocalist. Carlee wrote her own songs, which shared her Christian faith and often encouraged others to do so. Some other highlights of Carlee's musical achievements include NMS Honors Choir, PCHS Choir, SKMA All-Festival Choir, and KMEA All State choir.
Carlee was an excellent student and had received scholarships to Somerset Community College and Lindsey Wilson College. She excelled in Agriculture, was an FFA member, and loved Veterinary Medicine.
Carlee was a caring and compassionate young woman who loved helping and encouraging others. Her kind spirit led her to become an organ donor. She helped to save other lives even in losing her own.
This scholarship, created to honor Carlee, specifically in her love music, will be presented each year to a Pulaski County High School senior. The recipient must be someone who is a member of PCHS Choirs, that plans to attend college, and who is of good character in keeping with the example set by Carlee.
Applicants must be:
a current PCHS senior.
a PCHS Choirs member.
accepted into a college or university.
