Current 9th-11th Grade Students:  Auditions for students interested in advanced choral groups at PCHS will take place March 24-27 during your choir class period.  Students that have received a discipline referral during the 2025-2026 school year OR excessive absences are not eligible to audition. 

Current 8th Grade Students:  Auditions for students interested in advanced choral groups at PCHS will take place March 26th after school.  Students can ride a shuttle bus from the middle school to the high school and come immediately to the choir room.  Female students that have previously been accepted into the Kentucky All-State Choir are given an automatic spot in Advance Treble Choir, just email Ms. Braun about to let her know.  Any student interested in Chamber Singers must audition.  Students that have received a discipline referral or excessive absences during the 2025-2026 school year are not eligible to audition. 

Audition procedures:  

• Sing 5 note descending scale pattern “so-fa-mi-re-do” on any syllable up and down the scale with the piano to determine range. 

• Sing a major scale unaccompanied.

• Sing “Wake Up Cannon” unaccompanied.

• Sing “Wake Up Cannon” in a round with 3-4 other students.

• 8 measure sight reading example (current 9th-11th grade students only)
