Welcome!

My name is Mrs. Joanie Lutz, and I am thrilled to work with Maidu students to empower them to find success in all areas of life.  I have taught math, social studies and Independent Study for the past 30 years, most recently at Rocklin High School.

Outside of work I like to spend time with my family, travel (especially to Europe), bake, play with my dogs, exercise and attend church.  I have two children: Cassidy is an RN and Ryan is an officer in the Army.  Both of them recently got married and I love how my family has grown because of this.  My husband, Bob, and I have been married for 28 years. Fun fact about me is that I have 8 brothers and sisters!

I believe all students can learn and achieve success when they are in an environment that suits their individual learning needs which is why I believe in the benefits of Virtual Learning.
