Maidu Virtual Charter Academy Graduation Requirements

Students must complete a specified number of credits and pass required subjects to meet graduation requirements.

All requirements must be completed before a student graduates.

English – 4 terms (9, 10, 11 and 12) - 40 credits

Mathematics (Must pass Integrated 1) - 20 credits

Life Science - 10 credits

Physical Science - 10 credits

World Studies - 10 credits

U.S. History - 10 credits

American Government - 5 credits

Economics - 5 credits

Health - 5 credits

Physical Education - 20 credits

Fine Art or Foreign Language - 10 credits

Electives - 75 credits

Total Required Credits - 220

Listed below are classes that meet the various subject requirements:

English - 40 credits - English 9, English 10, English 11, English 12 (non college prep, college prep & dual enrollment)

Math - 20 credits - Pre-Integrated, Integrated Math 1, 2, 3, Statistics, Consumer Math

PE - 20 credits - PE

Life Science - 10 credits - Biology, Advanced Biology, AP Environmental Science, Life Science.

Physical Science - 10 credits - Earth Science, Environmental Science (non college prep, college prep & dual enrollment)

World Studies - World Studies (non college prep, college prep & dual enrollment)

U.S. History - U.S. History (non college prep, college prep & dual enrollment)

Government/Econ - 10 credits - American Government & Economics

Fine Art or Foreign Language - 10 credits Spanish 1, 2, 3 4, Art, Music Appreciation

Health - 5 credits - Health
