Advisory

During 3rd period, all students have have an Advisory class that they will meet with some Tuesdays.  They will stay with this teacher and class all year, and will use the time to accomplish various tasks. Some of these include:

• Student awareness of their HillTime assignment (or if not being assigned, having Students sign up aHillTime activity of their CHOOSING by using FlexiSched). 

• Teacher monitoring of  students' FlexiSched signups.

• Students  will check emails and grades.

• Students will update their academic and personal calendars and discuss school wide events.  (PHS school wide Google calendar for athletics, events, clubs, and more all students will access)

• School wide information distributed. (Videos, safety procedures, counseling news, school news, and more!)

• Team building, motivational activities, grade level meetings

• Culture and community building centered around character pillars

• PE Logs (9/10th grade only)

Hill Time

Hill Time takes place on Wednesdays through Fridays; students will be able to sign up for intervention/enrichment based on their own needs using Flexisched.  During Hilltime, students can go make up assignments or assessments, get extra help from their teachers, or attend study halls or other enrichment activities depending on how their courses are going.  Teachers are able to "Hard Request" students who are struggling or require additional support.

**NOTE: Attendance to Advisory and Hill Time is mandatory.  Cuts will be issued (and discipline assigned when appropriate) if students do not attend the class they are signed up to attend in Flexisched.**
