Term 1 Inquiry

In term one our school wide inquiry is the 'Pt England Way'. We also have a focus on 'Kaitiakitanga i nga wa katoa' which is about taking care of and being responsible for our environment and everything in it. We also have a larger cluster wide focus called 'Te Taiao o Tamaki'. This term you will be learning about the Paideia method of thinking and learning through discussion. You will learn how to do effective research about a given topic/issue. You will learn how to express your ideas confidently with supporting evidence from your research about a topic. You learn how to improve your thinking and communication skills.
