Upcoming Limited Face-to-face classes for 2022
The COVID-19 Pandemic has forced the College & the University to first suspend classes (March 2020), then later, adjust to Flexible Learning Modality (starting May 2020). A flexible learning modality has been adopted by PSU to ensure that learning will continue for its students.
Later, a return to limited face-to-face classes was first introduced last February 2021 as mandated by the Commission on Higher Education. PSU later started its limited face-to-face classes last November 2021, by virtue of a Certificate of Authority given by CHED-MIMAROPA.
Now, the College of Sciences will hold limited face-to-face classes, beginning August 2022

Only fully vaccinated teachers and staff shall be allowed to join the conduct for limited face-to-face classes
Only fully vaccinated students of HEIs shall be allowed to join limited face-to-face classes
Flexible-learning modality will be considered for: (per case basis)
Students with significant co-morbidities
Students living with members of the household with significant co-morbidities
Unvaccinated/Partially vaccinated students
Submission of the following requirements to the Class/Level Adviser:
Proof of vaccination (fully-vaccinated) – Vaccination Card
Medical Insurance Coverage – copy of medical insurance coverage (No longer required as of July 2022)
Waiver – duly signed
Question: Are all students required to participate in limited face-to-face classes?
Answer: Only fully-vaccinated students shall participate in limited face-to-face classes. Students who do not fall in this category shall continue with flexible learning approaches to ensure safety for all concerned
Question: Is vaccination required?
Answer: To participate in limited face-to-face classes, full vaccination is required. Students who do not fall in this category shall continue with flexible learning approaches to ensure safety for all concerned
Question: What kind of insurance is needed?
Answer: As of July 2022, Medical Insurance is no longer required for limited face-to-face classes. However, for personal reasons, one can opt to have such insurance coverage. This is now left to the discretion of the student and/or their parents.
Question: What is the scope of limited face-to-face classes?
Answer: Answer: (As of July 2022)
80% Face-to-face & 20% Online for Major Subjects
50% Face-to-face & 50% Online for GE Subjects
Question: I am a fully-vaccinated student, but I am not yet willing to participate in limited face-to-face classes. What will become of me?
Answer: Students with such concerns are instructed to inform their faculty-advisers for consideration of their circumstances. If granted, they shall continue with flexible learning approaches. [This will be evaluated on a case-to-case basis]
Question: Regarding the waiver, who can serve as my witnesses?
Answer: Witnesses are two additional adults of legal age. Such are qualified to sign the waiver.
