Join us! and take action
Give back to your local environment this April by joining the Penn State Global community in our service event in partnership with the Arboreta Network. Three campuses will be hosting events including service, food, and good conversation about environmental and sustainability topics.

Abington
April 6th: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Free-A-Tree
Help remove invasive species from our campus trees. Students will meet at the Lares Lubert Commons at 9:00 am for a meet & greet. Service work will be from 10:00-12:00 followed by lunch, a presentation, and a discussion ending no later than 2:00pm.
University Park
April 6th: 8:45 am - 2:00 pm
Wildflower Trail Maintenance in Hartley Woods
Students will meet at the Business building at 8:45 and the group will walk to the Arboretum together. Service work will be from 9:00-12:00 followed by lunch, a presentation, and a discussion ending no later than 2:00pm.
Reminders for Participants
Service work will take place outside for several hours. Please wear sturdy shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dirty, consider long pants and tall socks. Dress for the weather and come prepared with other necessary items such as a rain jacket/windbreaker, a hat/sunglasses, and sunscreen. Please also bring any items you may need during the event, such as a filled, reusable water bottle.
This will be a great day, especially when you come prepared!
