Global Sustainable Action Conference
It Starts with Us
Penn State Global, in collaboration with Penn State Sustainability, hosts its annual Global Sustainable Action Conference. The tradition began in 2022 and aims to draw attention to the intersection of culture and sustainability.
The Conference
The conference is part of Culture and Sustainability Weekend celebrating international cultures and engaging students in sustainability topics. Keynote speakers kick off a day of presentations from students, faculty, and staff who are passionate about culture and sustainability. Free transportation to the conference is available to Penn State Commonwealth Campus students.
SDGs Labs
In 2023, the conference partnered with SDGs Lab, a not-for-profit educational program that provides students with a 3-step training program on the UN SDGs. Students are able to engage in any of the sessions and receive a certificate for completion of all three. The last session, BOOST, takes place in person at the Global Sustainable Action Conference.
