Healthy Schools Certification Program

PSD Wellness in partnership with the Wellness Advisory Council for Schools (WACS) celebrates the achievements of schools who have excelled in health and wellness initiatives. PSD Wellness and WACS have developed a Healthy Schools Certification to recognize outstanding schools in PSD that have met certain requirements pertaining to health and wellness.

Schools are encouraged to work with the entire school community to complete the application including the school wellness team, administrators, physical education staff, nurses, teachers, counselors, and parents. We recommend using this certification as a guide for your school’s wellness initiatives and program.

2019 Healthy Schools Certification will release in the Fall of 2018. Applications will be due April 1, 2019. All schools are eligible to apply. Criteria for award levels must be met and all proof submitted through the online application form.
