Melissa is a counselor at TMHS and co-teaches Timnath Ambassadors. This is her 17th year as a school counselor in PSD. Before coming to Timnath, she was a high school counselor and student leadership teacher at Fossil Ridge. Prior to her time in PSD, Melissa taught Spanish and French in Thompson School District and enjoyed many years coaching the cheerleading team. She is a big Rams fan and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Colorado State University. Outside of school, Melissa loves spending time with her husband and two sons. In addition to family time, she also enjoys good movies, crafting, trying new restaurants and food, and spending time with friends.

Tara is a Colorado native who grew up skiing, hiking, and enjoying the lovely outdoors. She moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education and a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling. You could say she is a big Rams fan! Tara has worked with students in various roles in elementary, middle, and high schools. Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, traveling, reading , running, and skiing.

Matt is a counselor, co-teaches Timnath Ambassadors, and coaches both cross country and track (whew!). Before Timnath, Matt's been in a variety of educational settings and roles, with with students from preschool through high school. In addition to his most recent role as a counselor as Poudre High School, Matt is grateful to have had the opportunity to work in schools from New York to Missouri and countries across the globe including Brazil, Honduras, China, and more. Matt loves spending time with his wife and three kids. He also loves to be active, whether that's running, biking, skiing, or swimming. Matt credits his mom, a life-long special education teacher, for sparking his love of learning and his passion for supporting students.

Sylvia Garcia is the Family Liaison at TMHS. She is here to support our Spanish-speaking families in navigating the school system, support communication through translations, and build bridges of relationships between family, school, and community. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment for our families where they become active participants in their children's education.

Kassy is a Mental Health Specialist at TMHS on Mondays and Wednesdays and also services at Fort Collins High School on Tuesday afternoons, Thursdays and Fridays.  She is here to support student social-emotional growth and develop and build upon the tools they need/have to be successful in school and in life.  She has worked in Poudre School District since 2018 and has experience serving all students, K-12.  She grew up in Nebraska where she received her BA degree at UNL in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  She then moved out to Colorado in 2008 and got her Master's of Social Work degree from DU in 2010 and has enjoyed working with students ever since.  Kassy enjoys spending her spare time golfing, doing arts and crafts, hanging out with close friends and family, going to the pool, and being active with her husband and three sons.

Virginia is one of the mental health specialists at TMHS and can be found on campus all day Mondays and in the morning on Fridays. She also has the opportunity to work at Bamford, Bethke, and Timnath Elementary schools the rest of the week. Virginia works with all students K-12 and has experience with college-aged undergraduates as well. She holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Colorado State University (Go Rams!) as well as a  Bachelor of Social Work from CSU and an Associate of Arts degree from Front Range Community College. Virginia enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. Virginia’s hobbies include throwing pottery (she’s not great but keeps going), reading, and trying to make par at the closest golf range.

Emily Dunn steps into her 22nd year in Poudre School District as the Coordinator of Athletics & Postsecondary Planning for Timnath Middle-High School. Having joined the Cub community in May 2021 as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, Emily brings a background in leadership, teaching, and athletic coaching. In her new role, she is excited to expand postsecondary opportunities for students—focusing on Concurrent Enrollment, career mapping in Xello, and hosting college representatives on campus for direct student engagement. Emily is eager to continue serving TMHS in her sixth year at the school. She lives in Fort Collins with her husband, Jeff, and loves spending time outdoors with family and friends!
