Work-Based Learning (WBL) has always been an integral component of quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. High school students and educators can access work-based learning opportunities including internships, apprenticeships, and paid work experiences.

PSD Work-Based Learning Courses (Internships/Apprenticeships/Paid Work Experience)
Credits: Variable credit up to 45 credits (10 credits per semester)
Prerequisites: WBL Coordinator approval (Mr. Nick Baltzell)
Meets Requirement(s): Elective
Open to Grades: 9, 10, 11, and 12
Work-Based Learning (WBL) programs offer eligible students an opportunity to earn high school credit and gain experience in a chosen pathway, profession, or industry. Students are eligible to enroll in a WBL course for an experience (internship, apprenticeship, paid relevant work experience) that is longer than 30 hours in length and earn variable elective credit (15 hours = 1 credit with a maximum of 5 credits per quarter). This course will support students as they develop professional workplace skills. Placements are based on availability and/or students chosen through an interview process. Students must meet the requirements of the WBL experience. Work-Based Learning (WBL) Courses available based on CTE pathway are:
