The Light of the Moon Theatre Company offers a Co-Curricular designed education. Students can take the following courses in progression and have the opportunity to earn CTE (Career & Technical Education) credentials with the expanded ability for work study within the professional community.

Courses below are offered during the school day with contextual learning opportunities that continue with our afterschool productions and thespian troupe.

Middle School Courses

7th & 8th Drama

This one‐semester course is designed to introduce and/or improve basic acting skills. Techniques to developand practice creative imagination and self‐discipline will be employed through such classroom activities ascharacter creation and interpretation, improvisation, pantomime, and oral interpretation. Students canperform for others.

Intro to Technical Theatre (7th & 8th Grade) CTE*

Discover the magic of theatre behind the scenes in Introduction to Technical Theatre. Students explore set design, lighting, sound production, costuming, and props gaining hands‐on experience in the art of bringing performances to life. Through collaborative projects and exposure to industry‐standard equipment, this class offers a solid foundation for those interested in pursuing careers in the entertainment industry. This class is offered as part of the CTE middle school pathway.
