IT'S DISNEY WEEK!!!!

Click the link to "Check In" with Ms. Bernethy: https://forms.gle/v2i97BVGe5KLWBns8

Use the drop down menu to find different channels: Sing Along, Theory, Composer of the Week and Dance Along!

Ongoing Activities:

Listen to a genre of music that is not normally what you would choose: Country, Pop, Classical, Jazz, Folk, Oldies, etc.

-Did you enjoy what you chose? Think about why or why not.

Have a dance party and work on some new moves! Feel the steady beat!

-Is it Fast (Presto), Medium (Andante), or Slow (Adagio)? Does that change how you move?

Use found items around the house and see what sounds they make. Use these "instruments" to practice rhythms using ta, ti-ti, sh, and tika-tika.

Check out these cool sites:

www.tinyurl.com/psdquaver - Quaver is our music curriculum website. You can access this website with your PSD log in and find games and "Assignments". The assignments will be songs and activities that can be done at home.

www.classicsforkids.com - This website is a great resource to classical music games, composers, and listening opportunities.

https://www.mydso.com/dso-kids/ - There are many games, ideas on how to make instruments and composer information.

If you have learned something new about your musical preferences or want to share what you are doing musically at home send me an email at kbernethy@psdschools.org. I would love to talk to you about what you are creating at home! With Quaver, you can share your creatives with me through the curriculum and I can give you positive feedback.
