Hello! I am Ms. Lenczycki and am stoked to be back at Poudre because of the amazing community of students, parents and facility working together to create memorable learning experiences. Even better that we are able to be in person more with more hands on activities from the start!
This is my second year at Poudre High School where I will be teaching MYP Biology (2 sections in the spring) and MYP (Pre-DP) Chemistry (3 sections in the fall and 1 in the spring). Please click on the tabs for each class at the top of the page to see an overview of the material and tips & tricks on how to learn, thrive and expand on the content in my classes.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me!
There are two reigning ideas in my classroom:
1. Science is a collaborative subject. We are a global community working together to learn and discover more about our world, through hands on experience and teamwork, my students join that community daily as they learn to change and hone their analytical skills to become better chemists, biologists, scientists and people everyday.
2. Personal reflection, resilience & a growth mindset are the keys to success. I try to include as much personal reflection and intangible skill building in my classroom as possible. We are individual learners and each person's journey is different. I hope to give my students the chance to stop and consider how exactly they can be successful and then execute that plan and then adapt when it doesn't work. Because it won't. But it is in those moments that we learn who we are as people and build resilience that will be with us the rest of our lives.
