What is the 5210+ Challenge?
The Healthy Kids 5210+ Challenge is a FREE month-long program sponsored by Healthy Kids Club. This challenge is an opportunity for students, staff, and families to learn and practice healthy habits during the month of February, earn a t-shirt, and win prize money (up to $1000) for PE equipment at their school!
What are the 5 Healthy Habits?
5 servings of fruits and veggies
2 hours or less of screen time
1 hour or more of physical activity
0 sugary drinks
+ 9 or more hours of sleep (kids) 7-8 hours of sleep (adults)

In 2021, 100 schools from 10 northern Colorado school districts participated in the Challenge.
Over $22,000 in prize money was awarded to the schools with the highest percentage participation! Laurel
won $500 and purchased two climbing ropes for the gym.
In 2022, Laurel only had 43% participation and did not recieve any prize money.
For 2023:
Students, staff and families will receive a paper log to complete at home during the week of Jan.24th-28th.
The Challenge begins Tuesday, February 1st.
At the end of the Challenge, participants will either turn in their forms to their classroom teacher (family and individual logs) or use the online link to submit their total number of checkmarks.
Schools with the highest student, staff and family participation will be awarded prize money to spend on PE equipment and school wellness initiatives.
Students and staff that get the minimum number of checkmarks will receive a FREE 5210+ Challenge t-shirt.
Families that get the minimum number of checkmarks will be entered into a Healthy Kids Club prize drawing.
Please turn in logs, regardless of how many checks you got. All participation counts!
