This is Keaton's second year as an Assistant Coach for the Fossil Ridge Girls Team. He is also the Head Coach of the Fossil Ridge Boys Swim and Dive Team. Keaton was a late comer to the sport of swimming. He began swimming in 6th grade for Greeley Country Club’s summer team. He caught on quickly, swimming for Greeley West, achieving 16 out of 16 first place finishes at conference, and 16 top 8 swims at state. His highest place was a 2nd place finish. He achieved swimmer of the year for Greeley, along with becoming a 100 back record holder. He went on to swim at Minnesota State University, achieving an academic all-american status and was a few hundredths of a second away from a national cut. Now being a “swammer,” he still finds himself in the water by competing in sprint triathlons.
Keaton’s coaching experience began early, as he began to coach Greeley swimmers at the age of 16. After his collegiate career came to a finish, he took over as head coach for a club team in Mankato, Minnesota. During his time, the team grew the club to over 160 swimmers. He still continues to enjoy those relationships with those swimmers today.
When not around the pool deck, Keaton enjoys training for his triathlons, hitting the slopes, and enjoying the outdoors. He loves watching the Denver Nuggets, or any other Colorado sports teams. He’s been married to his wife for 5 years and spends lazy afternoons with his puppy Binx.
