My name is Cindy Roller, and I will be the new head coach of the Boltz Girl’s Golf Team.  I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my vision for the girls golf program at Boltz Middle School. I have been working in the Poudre School District as an educator for the last 17 years.  Currently I am an English Language Development teacher at Boltz, who works with multilingual students that are new to our country.  Some of my past school athletic experiences include soccer (high school and college), volleyball, cross-country, track, and basketball.  I learned to play golf during my adult years when I managed golf shops in a couple of country clubs while living in California.  I grew to love the game of golf, play whenever possible, and I am in a constant state of learning the game.  I enjoy being a teacher in our community!  I believe a teacher is a coach, who focuses on facilitating learning and development with the goal of helping children improve their own performance. My true passion is helping students reach their goals and bringing out the best in them. I’m very excited to lead the Boltz Phoenix girls golf team in the 2023 Spring season. As a program, we’re going to have structure and high expectations. Every girl on the team should feel important, appreciated, respected, supported and safe. The focus will be to introduce and promote the game of golf to Junior golfers of all abilities.  My goals are keeping girls engaged in sports, instilling confidence and inspiring girls to live active lifestyles, provide social opportunities and friendships, increasing retention of girls in the game of golf, encouraging family involvement, and most of all to have fun while learning the game of golf!  My expectations for players on our team are the same as my expectations for students at school; to work hard, be prepared, and contribute to creating a positive culture.  I will be communicating with the team, teachers/administrators, and parents to ensure we have the best girl’s golf program possible.  I  have an open door policy and welcome feedback.

Coaching golf is a new opportunity for me and I'm looking forward to a great season with many memorable experiences and accomplishments.  I’m excited to get our season started, answer any questions you may have about tryouts and the upcoming season.
