PSD Middle School Golf Championships
Each team brings 5 golfers to Districts.
Players who shot a 55 or better (girls) or 45 or better (boys) at least once during the season are eligible to play all 18 holes and compete for an individual medal (top 10 finishers). However, they are not required to play 18 holes.
Players who choose not to compete individually will only play the second 9 holes and contribute to their team score.
Important:
NO ONE plays 27 holes.
Team titles are determined only by the second 9 holes.
Team scoring = bring 5, score 4.
Example:
A girl who shot a 55 once during the season may decide to only play the 9-hole team portion if she does not feel she has a chance to finish in the top 10 individually.
Tournament Rules (same as regular season):
Triple bogey max
OB and lost balls treated as hazards
Players must tee off from the correct tees:
Boys = white tees
Girls = red tees
Players should pick up once they reach triple bogey to help maintain pace of play
Main difference from regular matches:
**Players will not move up on holes to begin play.
