What to do if you are absent?
If you are so sick that you can't get work done please focus on resting and recovery. We can come up with a plan to get you back on track once you are well enough to learn!
If you can work at home, you can view all of the work students are doing in class on your child's Math Google Classroom site. Each unit will be posted separately with a Daily Slide to tell you and them what they are missing in math class. If your student is home, for example, on Wednesday of a specific week, he/she can open the Daily Slide for Wednesday to see what is being completed in class. Often I will have a copy of the work online, game, or videos that they can work on from home.
Some of the work we do in class is done on paper and is taped into the student's math notebook. If you know your child will be out of school for a lengthy time and are able to come to Blevins, I can prepare a packet of all the papers your child will need and give them their math notebook to take home. If you can't come to Blevins to pick up a packet, I have posted digital copies of all paper assignments on our Google Classroom under each separate assignment that they can copy onto other paper or fill in digitally and turn in online.
If you are confused on any of the above steps please email me. Students are always encouraged to reach out to me, kgriese@psdschools.org, with any questions about assignments or missing work.
Thanks for your support and help.
