Ms. Mocke

". . . I care and I know I am making a difference. . . I love my children, my craft, and the two together. It's pretty magical." - Phoebe Dillard

This quote from a fellow teacher really says it all for me. I feel very fortunate to have a career that challenges me and one that I love! I truly enjoy discovering students' youthful passions and unique personalities, and fostering in them a desire to learn and grow.

My undergraduate degree is in English; my Masters in K-6 Education. I've taught 4 years in Kindergarten, 3 years in 1st grade, 2 years in 3rd grade, and 5 years in 4th grade. Fall, 2019 marks the beginning my 15th year as a teacher! Doing what I love is what I love doing!!

I love to read, write, and create whenever I can. I love to play music (piano and violin) and listen to music (especially live!). Being out in nature is my place of peace and rejuvenation. I love to travel. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, baking, shopping, and hanging out with my special girls, Chloe (13) and Calla (10)!

My daughters and I live here in my hometown, Fort Collins. Chloe is an 8th grade student at Preston Middle School, and Calla is a 5th grader at Bethke. We have a three-year-old Airedale Terrier named Colette. My extended family all live in Fort Collins. The girls and I enjoy living in Ft. Collins very much.

I'm so happy to be at Bethke, teaching amazing children, and partnering with thoughtful, involved parents and a highly-talented and child-centered staff. I can't wait to connect with you and begin another wonderful year!

See you soon ~ Amy
