FALL SPORTS TRYOUTS begin August 6. Scroll down to see required form listed below under ATHLETE REQUIREMENTS. Specific sports and times are listed on the flyer titled PHS Sports Information for 2018-19.

FREE PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL EXAMS for PHS students will be offered at SSM Health DePaul Hospital on Monday, July 30. Take the PHS Participation Packet with you to the exam. See link for time and location. Click here for additional information.

SUMMER SPEECH & DEBATE CAMP: Perfect for new or returning competitors! Explore new speech, debate & theatre events. Improve speaking, acting, & writing skills. Make new friends. See flyer at right for more information. Click on link to register. There is no charge for this camp. .

SUMMER STRENGTH & CONDITIONING will be held at PHS June 4 through July 26 (Mondays -Thursdays only). Two sessions will be offered. No sign up needed. See flyer at the right for more information.

ATHLETE REQUIREMENTS

PHS Athletic & Activities Participation Packet must be on file prior to a student being released to tryouts and/or practice for any sport, drill team, cheerleading, marching band, color guard or winter guard. You must submit the entire packet.

If a student is chosen to participate on any sport team, cheerleading squad or drill team squad, two additional forms are required:

and must be on file prior to participation in their first contest.

NCAA CORE COURSE CALCULATOR

Free Online College Academic Eligibility Tool

Any student who wishes to compete athletically as a freshman at an NCAA Division I or Division II school must meet NCAA Initial-Eligibility minimum standards, including minimum core course GPA and SAT/ACT test score requirements. CoreCourseGPA is an innovative tool that allows students to easily track progress towards meeting these requirements, beginning as soon as the first semester of the freshman year.

TO ACTIVATE A MEMBERSHIP:

    • Go to CoreCourseGPA
    • Click on "FREE New Member Account"
    • Enter our school ID (262575) and school code (754010209) and click "Continue"
    • Fill in the appropriate fields to create the account.
    • Remember to write down your member name & password!

Once your account has been created, login as a member by clicking on "Member Login" in the upper right corner. Use your newly created login credentials.

CoreCourseGPA incorporates the NCAA recognized core courses for PHS into the online course entry forms, calculates BOTH Division I and Division II core course GPA, automatically factors weighted grades into calculations, and tracks course requirements. A student's course information is saved for the duration of high school.
