Every middle school student in Pattonville is provided an iPad for daily use. It is the expectation that it will be taken to all of their classes throughout the day and it will be taken home at night to complete school work. The device is locked from 12pm-5am every morning to prevent distraction. They are responsible for it and need to charge it every night and bring it to school with them every day. Every classroom will have an online component to their class in Canvas that they will use their device to access and turn in assignments. Many of their textbooks are also online and will be accessed with their device.
In the past we used to use a service called one2one risk to collect a damage waiver. As of the 2021-22 school year that plan has changed. No money is paid up front. All student devices get coverage for two accidental damage claims every school year. You will be charged for any intentional damage or any damage beyond the two claims. The video and forms below explain how it works.

The video below covers some of the basics of the program as well as appropriate use and care for your iPad. Because Pattonville provides in-school tech support, students are not to take apart the iPad case for any reason.
