*Beginning Fall 2021, all 12 of the state’s public universities began using the Common Application for admissions, making it easier for interested students to apply to multiple universities at once.
Creating a Common App Account
Searching For and Adding Colleges in Common App
Navigating the My Colleges Tab
FERPA RELEASE AUTHORIZATION
You will submit the FERPA release authorization in your Common App account, not Naviance. Complete the education section within Common App first, then complete the FERPA release authorization. The FERPA release authorization is found in the Recommenders and FERPA section of the My Colleges tab, and the "release authorization" link must be checked with the FERPA decision. You can only see the Recommenders and FERPA section once you have added at least 1 school to your application. Students must add recommenders through Naviance.
When you are done creating your Common App Account, don't forget to match your Common App and Naviance accounts!
