Zakynthos

Zakynthos is the third largest Greek island in the Ionian Sea. It's a very popular tourist destination due to its beautiful landscape and  beautiful beaches. It is also home to several large nesting grounds for the loggerhead turtle. Additionally, Zakynthos is home to many olive groves.  Uninformed tourists and rapidly growing tourism has had many negative effects on Zakynthos, including its people, ecology, and creatures, but local people are  working to help stop the effects.
