In the weeks following completion of your research, it is helpful to reflect on the experience. Reflection is worthwhile because it helps you:
- Recognize what you accomplished, and the ways you did well over the course of the project. Pat yourself on the back!
- Identify what was difficult, and what you could do differently, and what kinds of support would be helpful, the next time you do research.
- Communicate with your teacher about parts of the assignment were easy for you, and what was difficult. This will help your teacher revise the assignment and help future students succeed.
- Think the ways you want to grow as a student researcher. What can you do, and what supports do you need, to make that happen?
