Omar is a thoughtful creative fourth grade student who recently wrote a “how-to” book all about respecting others at P.S. 207. In his book, he explains that respect means listening when someone else is speaking, using kind words, keeping your hands to yourself, and including everyone during group work and recess. Omar gives clear examples of what respect looks like in the classroom, in the hallways, and on the playground. His book shows that even small actions—like saying “please,” “thank you,” and “I’m sorry”—can make a big difference in building a positive school community.
