This year, our school made a major, community-wide push to prioritize and elevate our collective wellness. We knew that to build a healthier, happier environment, we needed to start at the heart of our school: our students. By researching different areas of well-being and listening closely to our kids' unique perspectives, we wanted to discover what wellness truly means to them.
Students explored different branches of wellness through research and then selected one area to focus on more deeply. Using their learning, they created original Pixton comic strips that creatively illustrated key ideas, habits, and scenarios related to their chosen branch of wellness. This project allowed students to combine research, critical thinking, and storytelling while expressing their understanding in a visual and engaging format.
