2022-23 Honors Ecology Students worked closely with representatives from the Jersey Friendly Yards School Certification program which is a partnership between the Barnegat Bay Partnership and the Ocean County Soil Conservation District. After experiencing the 8 Steps to a Jersey Friendly Landscape through investigation and experiential learning, it was decided that the best way to use the grant money was to purchase informational signage. Student artwork, photography, and projects completed throughout the year were incorporated into the designs by Bailey Sanders of the Barnegat Bay Partnership.
The graphic panel signs were printed by Fossil and delivered to Pinelands in October of 2023.
