Visual Art 2D and 3D Studio

PRSD Summer Art Studio is designed for students in grade 5-12+ interested in developing their skills, creativity, and self expression starting at any ability level.  Each week will be packed with possibilities, imagination, and fun as students explore studio materials, such as graphite, paint, and clay. The first week will prepare students with foundation knowledge of a variety of mediums, while the second week will be an Open Studio format with guided instruction allowing for individual creative expression.  

Week 1 - July 8 - 11 

M&W 3D Studio:   Working with clay.  

T&TH 2D Studio:  Drawing and Painting

Monday through Thursday

8am - 12pm  (1st 25 students who register)

or 

1pm - 5pm (1st 25 students who register)

Week 2 - July 15 - 18

M&W 3D Open Studio:  With guidance available, students work on their own personal creation

T&TH 2D Open Studio:   With guidance available, students work on their own personal creation

Note: The schedule is designed for student choice and opportunity.  However, during the second week the instructor will make every effort to be flexible in the mediums students use.

8am - 12pm (1st 25 students who register)

Students are recommended to take both weeks, however students may register for 1 week only if they choose.  If students are only interested in 1 week they should register for week 1 only. (week 2 builds upon instruction from week 1).

Cost for 1 week is $200 plus $25 materials fee, 2 weeks is $400 plus $25 materials fee
