Elodea Leaf Cells

Elodea are species of aquatic plants (plants that live in water). They can be found in streams and marshes.

The cells in the leaves of these plants need to be able to absorb sunlight to convert light energy into stored energy in glucose = photosynthesis!

Elodea leaf cells have many chloroplasts in order to perform photosynthesis.
