Provide a welcome space to learn
Prepare a learning space for your student to learn at home to avoid distraction and allow your child to concentrate on teacher instructional time and classwork.
Make sure of your child's surroundings like noise or images
Encourage students to be ready for the class with all the materials and follow the schedule.

Dedicate a little more time to your child daily to help and support doing the homework.
Check their homework daily.
Check online platforms and student work assigned.
Check teacher's comments and grades.
Encourage your child to ask for help if needed.
Instill Organization Skills
Support your child in teaching organizational skills.
Post the online schedule in one visible place at home for your child to remember
Help your child to be organized with assignments and classwork.

Parents Expectations 9 – 12
Know the Disciplinary and Bullying Policies
Learn about the school policies.
Understand the consequences if your child does not follow these policies.
Teach your child about Cyberbullying and harassment and if you do not know, inform yourself about it and learn how to maintain your child out of bullying.
Teach your child about the appropriate use of technology in school.
Get Involved
Learn about your child's grades and academic performance.
Encourage your child to get into college or higher education.
Attend school events, parent's meetings, and school board meetings.
Check the school district website.
Take Attendance Seriously
Encourage your child to attend online school daily.
Support your child in reviewing the work, projects, homework, assignments to complete.
Learn about the emotional or academic problems that are preventing your child from attending school.
Keep a daily schedule posted, so your child knows when the class starts to avoid tardiness.
