Grade 10

ICDS/Work-Based Learning

Students prepare for (and take part in) the annual Alvarez Shark Tank, where they pitch their ideas for innovative technologies to industry professionals.

Intro to Computing and Data Science is designed to prepare students for Work-Based Learning, where they will work with industry professionals at firms like IGT.

During first semester, students learn about how data is used to shape our world and what we can do with it in the future. This course also introduces students to three new coding languages.

Work-Based Learning affords students the opportunity to begin building a professional network by meeting and working with industry professionals who use our classroom skills every day.

The program utilizes partnerships with corporations based here in Rhode Island, such as IGT.
