Basic Info!

Hello!! We are the American Sign Language (ASL) Club and Honor Society, and we would love to see you at one of our upcoming events!

We meet once a month in room 2229 (Mrs. Wahnschaffe's classroom) to discuss major recent events in Deaf culture, learn seasonal signs, play games, eat snacks, and make new friends!

We meet once every nine weeks outside of school for a silent dinner - a fully signed event. This event is special and very beneficial for those learning ASL as it is fully immersive.

Club vs Honor Society!

ASL Club is welcome to anyone! Sign Language students and non-students alike. All you have to do is fill out the registration form located in Google Classroom and attend the meetings!

ASL Honor Society is designated for our current American Sign Language students. As this is an honor society, a GPA requirement and teacher recommendations are necessary to join. However, as a member of the ASL Honor Society, upon the completion of 5 ASL hours (earned via events such as silent dinners, Deaf coffee chats, etc. that will be communicated on Classroom), you can earn a cord for graduation! With 10 ASL hours, you can earn the Laurent Clerc Medal for graduation.
